Hello
Always had this problem----been to lazy to search or ask till now----I luv open office writer and use it for records---when I open and save it's fine----but if I leave it open on the desktop for several minutes and then add to my doc and try to save ----I get an error message and have to close and re-open to add my info.
Surely there is a setting I'm missing or something simple, yes?

that's not normal behaviour
try uninstalling and do a brand new install of the latest version

Definitely not normal behaviour. What version do you run and on what OS?
