|

Using OpenOffice 3.0.0 (OOO300m9 build 9358).
When editting a table in Writer, I sometimes see a red triangle, like this:
I assume this is some kind of overflow indicator. But no matter what I do, I can't get rid of it (other than deleting the entire row or column). I try to select and delete the cell contents, by clicking home, shift+end, del, but that doesn't make it disappear.
What should I do to get rid of it? |

Actually, I've been able to pinpoint this problem in a separate document:
http://rapidshare.com/files/180412475/example.odt.html
This example odt contains a table with 2 cells. One is OK, one has the strange triangle. When I delete the cells entire content, the triangle is gone. But when I insert even ONE character, the triangle appears again
Is this a bug, or do just don't understand how this is supposed to work? |

Select View → Nonprinting characters.
Drag down the bottom line on the table field with the column so that the field is taller.
You will see that there has been a line-break inserted. This line-break is what is causing your problem. Just delete it. |
