I have spent a great deal of time working on an Excel program at work. I have not bought (nore want to spend the money) on Microsoft office for home. So I was given the link to Open Office.org by our company programmer.

I would like to know how to get the macros and formulas to translate to Open Office from Excel.

Thanks

By hand only as far as I know.... Links here http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7829&highlight= for tutorial, programmers guide and api documentation.
The api doc will give you some clues about the object model that you can use to understand the changes that you will need to make.
You are not limited to OOo's Basic. You can use the api from a number of languages including VB.
