MYSql data source data is not ledgable

Hello all,

I have just recently configured OO to talk to my MYSql DB but the
data in the DB is
not ledgable. I dont know if something is not being decoded or what.
I get a lot of
little squares in the data fields. Does anyone have any ideas?
