Save icon stays visible after saving

One little feature I always liked about OpenOffice Writer was that the save icon disappeared after saving. I've learned to "save early, save often" to the point of doing it subconsciously at times, and I like knowing that I haven't added anything after the last save. I have installed OpenOffice from Go-oo.org, hoping it would be a faster version. I noticed that the save icon is visible now at all times. Is this a feature that I inadvertently turned off when I was rummaging through the Options menu? Or is this a new "development" in the UI? Or is this a move that this particular version of OpenOffice decided to go on?

I'd rather not uninstall and then re-install the "regular" OpenOffice just to find this out. Thanks.
