Has anyone tried a file control in OO.org 3.0.1? After "upgrading" none of my file controls work with my dialogs.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Thanks.
OO.org 3.0.1, Vista Home Premium.

to clarify,
only in MS Vista OO.org 3.0 and 3.0.1 does the File Control not work. It does work in 2.4.2 and it does work in all versions in MS Windows XP & Linux. So can anyone else confirm this for Vista?

I can't say, I have avoided Vista...
I have not seen any Issue on this subject (but others with FilePicker and Vista, like Issue 99759).
You should write an Issue as soon as possible if you want it corrected.

Possible work-around : open the dialog at Tools->Options->OpenOffice->General and enable the checkbox "use OOo dialog for Open/Save".

I can confirm this: File Selection not working on 3.0.0 on Vista Business.
And B Marcelly's workaround works.

i'm not sure if this really is a separate bug from the ones already posted. It sound like it is probably related... but clearly something is not right when OO.org tries to use the vista file dialogs.

Hello All,

Some weeks ago, I had also the same problem working with FilePicker in a form in OpenOffice Base with Windows Vista. Finally I found the solution in:

http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=90219

where it's commented that now initialization of the FilePicker dialog is mandatory. Although in Windows XP it's not mandatory, it is in Vista.

Also, I found that in Windows Vista the behaviour of the FilePicker control when it's enabled multi file selection is not as described in the API docs (all files selected are returned with full file path).

I finally posted an entry with a review of this issue in my blog, but it's in spanish language.

Regards,
Victor
