I found on this forum a brief discussion on increasing the number of files listed on the MRU or most recent used files list accessed from the "file" drop down menu of Office Calc. The solution offered was to download a macro called "RecentFilesListChanger-2003-10-28". I did this, ran the macro, and still I only get 4 files listed in the drop down menu. What did I do wrong? or am I doing wrong? I am sure I am not doing something I should, or leaving a step out. I am also sure there is someone on this forum who can easily explain to me how to get the macro to work. Any, and all help, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Did you quit out of OOo and re-launch OOo? Did you make sure the QuickStarter was not still running?

Yes, I not only backed out of OO Calc, but I also restart my machine. However, I dont't know what QuickStarter is.

Thank you for your reply.

Quickstarter is a program in the system tray that keeps a lot of OOo in memory so that you can open a document very quickly.

I assume the post you were referring to earlier was....

ENLARGE THE SIZE OF YOUR recent files list

See the discussion in that thread of where someone was having difficulty using the macro.
