Hi,
I did try to help myself first but could't find a thread on merging Base tables. If someone could explain how this is done that would be great. Please don't be too technical because I am a layman.
Thanks.

I got it.
Do you really need them in one file? (It can be done, but I don't have the answer to that at my fingertips. See below though... but first.. at...)
http://sheepdogguides.com/fdb/fdb1joins.htm
... you'll find information on displaying fields from multiple tables in one query, using a joins.
the tutorial is a bit long-winded.... skip it if you "just want the answer". There's a link allowing you to download the finished database.
Back to your question...
It would probably be possible to...
export the two tables to separate pages of an ooCalc document,
use ooCalc to merge the data...
--- You would need to create a third page with what you want for each "combined" record" displayed on a line of the worksheet
And then "copy" the data into a new table.
For some of the details of doing something by that route, see....
