Two Questions – Is it possible to have the spell set to one language and the thesaurus set to another – I use the Australian spell and there is no thesaurus available, so I would like to use the USA thesaurus – as I think that this the only English one available. Is it possible to tell Ooo to use one language for spell checking and a different language for thesaurus?
Also – window splitting the same document is this possible?
thanks

To get two windows viewing the same document? Yes. From Menu Window, New Window. |

| Quote: | | Is it possible to have the spell set to one language and the thesaurus set to another | I have trouble setting the thesaurus at all ... it is greyed out on my menu bar BUT using the Thesaurus button in Spellcheck dialog gives me the option to select language (different from spellcheck language which I default to English - GB) and get the US thesaurus. This is a long way around and I would probably use an on-line dictionary like Webster in preference but put it one click away and I would probably use it. Renaming th_en_US.dat and th_en_US.idx to match the sp[elling dictionary is probably all that is needed. |
