Right now I have a 2005 G4 iBook furiously compiling away the source code of 3.5 RC1 for use in Xubuntu.

This is fine. I don't have a problem installing apps this way once in a while. But updates will be a hassle if I have to continually recompile new builds.

I just thought it was ironic that we have OSX PowerPC binaries, and Linux x86 binaries, but no Linux PowerPC binaries.

Any chance of that changing? Anything I could do to help?
