Maybe I'm being dense, but I so far have found no way to create a user-defined number format (such as a currency display format) and save it such that it's available for use later on outside the document that was frontmost when I created it.
Is this possible? And if so, how?

- Make the formats you need
- Remove the formatting from cells
- Remove all content
- Save as template:
File - Templates - Save, note what category you save in.
- Set the template as default:
File - Templates - Organize... or the Organizer button within the File - Templates - Save dialog.
Doubleclick the chosen category folder. Your template should pop up
Right click and select Set as default template
To revert to old templates, open the template organizer again and click the Commands button. |
