How to install OxygenOffice 3.0.1 over OpenOffice 3.0.1 ?
Both have the same version of OOo so Oxygen Office aborts the installation. Is there a way to force the conversion (with Windows) ? |

| Did you try uninstalling OpenOffice.org before installing Oxygen Office? |

| No, I did not. I had cinsidered renaming the OOo folder, but was interested to know if an upgrade could be forced. It seems the OxygenOffice installer sees the OOo core version rather than the lack of the "extras" it would install. Any thoughts on that? |

I don't think renaming the folder would help. I don't recall the details, but the installer detects the existing version using codes stored in the registry. If OxygenOffice uses the same codes as OpenOffice.org, then the existing version would have to be uninstalled to remove the registry settings.
Maybe some of the OxygenOffice extensions for OpenOffice.org would meet your needs.
