In Excel7.0 I'm linked to a stock ticker called Etikr which updates a database with stocks and options on a 15 second timetable. When I brought up my spreadsheet it was linked to Etikr and worked just fine. I'm new to Open Office but when I signed up was assured it was doable. I hope someone can point me in the right direction. How would I link to this source (think it's called a dynamic link)??

I just hat a look at the ETIKR site. Their product seems to be a very complex Excel Workbook, with lots of macros and dialogs. I would be very surprised if this can easily be tronsported to OO calc.
Who assured you this can be done ? You should ask him/her for support ...
Good luck,
