I'm trying to call bootstrap() from C# application but faced an exception saying "Could not load file or assembly 'cli_cppuhelper, ...'. The system cannot find the file specified."

I tried to load this DLL manually through LoadLibrary() and it gave me the same exception message. However, it works perfectly under a C++ application. There seem to have some different between C# and C++ application linkage.

By the way, I realized that the 'openoffice.org' key has been installed to my 'Wow6432Node' in my RegistryEditor as my machine is a 64 bit OS. But under the key: LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Installer>UserData>...>One of the components for the UREINSTALLLOCATION, it points to '02:\Software\OpenOffice.org\Layers\URE\1\UREINSTALLLOCATION instead of the respective Wow6432Node key.

<Search under UREINSTALLLOCATION and you can find this link>

Will this be the cause to my issue or do I need to install some additional tools for the C# linkage?

My 32-bit XP machine works well without doing any extra steps. Hence, I suspect there's different between 32 and 64 bits XP and worst case is to C# only...

Really appreciate if someone out there and help me on this issue. I'm stuck for a very long time... I need to jump out from the cage asap...

Thanks!

Hello,

I've got the same problem. It only occurs on a Vista 64bit machine.

Unfortunately I don't have a solution, either.

Anybody?

In the Visual Studio (2010):
1) select menu Project/Properties
2) select Build tab
3) Platform target: x86
