making a new .odt fixed this. converting from .doc to .odt appears to be the culperet

Occasionally headings set themselves back to default, seemingly at random.
This phenomenon takes place even in write - protected sections
Anyone know how to make them not do that ?

What OS and version of OOo are you using?
Is the document an original OOo creation?
You are applying the headings using Styles?
Are you saving it in OOo format?
