|
|
Hi - how do I customise a signature or a fingerprint (user name + today's date) and store it so that it is available for use in all my documents? I can settle for it being part of a template as well. I tried AutoComplete but it doesn't work. Is there a macro I can write for this or is there some other way to do it?
Thanks in advance... |

| Try to insert fields into your template by using the Insert-Fields menu. I'm not working under a multi user or networked enviroment, so I am not sure whether the user name(author) field and the initial field will change to reflect the current user. Please feed back. Thanks. |

If your not looking for anything fancy just type "The Brat " and do Ctrl+F2 > Document tab > Type=Date, Select=Date ( not the fixed one), and Format=your preference and Insert it.
Select it all, then Edit > AutoText.
If you can't figure it out from there check the Help in the AutoText window.
