OK...I tried everything and I can't figure it out. The Help makes no sense to me...
Can I import an XML file into Base and create a database - NOT a document? I've tried numerous times and it usually crashes. A couple of times it took about 5 minutes and then created a document rather than a database.
Is there anywhere with step-by-step instructions for dummies. The help information really doesn't tell me anything about importing XML and creating a database.
In fact I even tried an xls and its still creating a document rather than a database...
What am I doing wrong? |

Import into calc ods spreadsheet file, after that use this file as external datasource in odb file.
Create new empty odb file.
Copy table from connected file to newly created empty file.
Your xml data in odb file.
No simpler way to do this, and needs to create an xml filter for spreadsheet. |
