install OpenOffice 3.1.0 in kubuntu

thanks to help for this problem

I am trying to install openoffice on kununtu 9.04

1º) I download the .deb pack for use in kubunut 9.04
2º) Install with sudo all pack

when I try to start the program this gives an error
therefore said to be recovered a file, I accept and continuing with the same.
and at the end can not run openoffice

someone knows it happen?

Can you provide the exact error message? Have you tried Google'ing the error message?

See [Ubuntu] Installing OOo on Debian and Co. And try to reset your OOo user profile but don't transfer your personal data during the welcome process (if you had 2.x before), configuration files from the former version might corrupt the new profile.
