|
|
Some basic features for PDF required:
1. Ability to protect the file
2. Option to add Creator and Document Info into the PDF file
3. Advanced (variable) quality option. i.e. keep the standard settings as they are excellent, however sometimes with certain types of graphics included in the document it would be helpful to be able to adjust the quality (resolution) until they are acceptable for the purpose being used for. We always want the smallest file possible that will serve the creator's requirements. |

Hi
As regards wish no 3. Are you creating the pdfs with the button in the toolbar? Are you aware of the settings (albeit limited) available via file\export to pdf?

|

I wanted to post it on that web site, but the closest link I could find (and did I hunt for an appropriate link) where I could post a feature reques was here. Please can yo give me a link to where this request and others should be posted.
Thanks for the help.
Ian, I have used the settings with great success and satisfaction. Sometimes the jump between the file sixe for printing and for screen viewing is significantly big, and screen viewing doesn't always give you the resolution for graphics as required especialy if they are graphs etc. I would like a "resolution/qualtiy" slider as an advanced/custom setting so that i can get the smallest file possible with an acceptable resolution.
By no means can I complain. I find the pdf export from OOo perhaps better in some instances than what Acrobat can produce - certainly far easier to use for my application! |

How can you report a feature request on oo.org ? I only found bugs and issues... No features requests section.
Thanks,

| What about selecting 'ENHANCEMENT' in the 'Issue type' field? |
