|
|
Alignment of objects in slides is off when opening ppt files in Impress under Linux. Opening the same files in Impress in Windows seems OK (so far). Specifically, pictures & text overlap, & text looks different (even though the font is the sme name). Is there a solution to this issue? Everything else in OOo works great (well almost - have had some similar problems opening docx files in Writer).
OK, so this is weird. The ppt file that has problems in a machine running Linux Mint 9 (Ubuntu 10.04 - 64bit), with OOo, looks fine on a machine running Ubuntu Server 10.04 - 64bit. Both OOo versions are 3.2.0. I've tried matching resolutions, and all the settings seem to be the same in the OOo options. |

Looks like a font issue. On one of your systems, the specific font is not installed on the system and is substituted by another font. _________________ --

Ahh - trickey! They both actually showed that it was Trebuchet. After your post though, I checked again because I figured that just had to be it. Even though it lists Trebuchet in the toolbar, when checking the fonts in the list, it wasn't there!
Installed mscore fonts & it's good now. Thanks for your help. |
