I hate recently used documents, for many reasons, but cant see an easy way of disabling it in open office.
The way I found out (for linux) was to chattr + i the Common.xcu, History.xcu and consequently the Common.xcu_tmp and Histories.xcu_tmp files in the ~/.openoffice.org/3/user/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office and ~/.openoffice.org2/3/user/registry/data/org/openoffice/ directories.
Rabble rabble rabble
Posting here if anyone else is having these issues or a small glimmer of hope a developer will see my pain and make recently used documents optional (or call me stupid and point to the button...).
cheers. |

Hi,
Have you read the first post on section Code Snippets ?
Announcement: PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING ### NO QUESTIONS ###
For your problem, install extension History Master (needs at least OOo 3.1), set lists length to zero. You may uninstall the extension after you have verified it works.
See http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/
Use the search tool at left for : History Master
Edit : changed the link for History Master.
