Just as you would hold down the shift key to select multiple cells at the same time in a row or column say Column A Rows 1-19 and you wish to place the same info into each of those 19 cells, how can this be done please without having to paste into each cell one at a time?

Select the value and the empty cells you want to fill, then Edit > Fill > Down.

Or move to the lower right corner of the cell with the value (cursor changes to cross hair) and drag down. If the value is a number and you want it to stay the same then hold down the Ctrl key.
