had a program on my computer called FineReader, since it was rarely
used I decided to delete it. Since then I can't Use my Lexmark X6570 to scan documents and edit them using OCR If I do the following message appears
" Some files are corrupted Reinstall FineReader" Is this FineReader part
of the Lexmark software or should I be able to use OCR without having
FineReader Installed? If so how? Could you please help me!
I run Windows XP

I don't know what this has to do with openoffice.org, but finereader appears to be your OCR software.

I agree with BillP: reinstall your "FineReader" scanner driver (presumably, located on your Lexmark Printer Install CD). If you don't have that CD anymore, go to the Lexmark web site, search for your Printer model, and see what, if any, downloads are available for it (updated drivers, scanner software, etc.).

Have uninstalled and reinstalled my printer twice and still I get this error message and the OCR doesn't work
