Hello Folks,
I am using OO 3.2.0 on OpenSUSE 11.2 (x86_64).
I can create and successfully add hyperlinks in OO .DOC files. All local (in-file) hyperlinks work as expected. If I try to add a hyperlink in document A to document B, the added link looks like this:
file://path/B
All well and good.
However, clicking on A's hyperlink results in a new Firefox tab, which is NOT what I want. I want the link to open the local file B (both files are on the same local filesystem, in the same directory).
What the heck am I doing wrong here?
I get the expected behavior for ODT files
(i.e., local filesystem open, no browser). It's only .DOC files where this weirdness occurs.

I came across the same question and was frustrated by it. Anyone can help?
