|
|
I've been finding things on the Forum by searching in Google. I can't find an internal search field anywhere but the front page, and this is quite inconvenient. Could you add one to the page templates so we can search for new topics from anywhere, at least within a thread, such as Writer?
Thanks

| There is a [Search] link at the top of each page. It's located between the [FAQ] and [Memberlist] link. Give it a try. |

| I thought I posted a reply yesterday, but I don't see it. Thanks for pointing out the link and tip. I'd been looking "in a rut" for the iconic white search field that usually awaits my input. I tried a couple of searches and more or less found what I was looking for. |

Searching any site is easy. Just pop of to google, enter your searchwords, and follow it with "site:www.oooforum.org" without quotes.
Then you search that site only. |

| i find most froum search facilitys really hard to find exactly what you are looking for. Utilising google in the above way is the best method, and one i use for all the forums i frequent. |
