Dear,
I am facing problem with formatting in writer, after doing all settings with contents in file we save that as .doc and reopening the file we lost all settings and contents are disorder including tables.
If we save that as .odt then all setting are perfect but i am unable to understand that why it's happening with .doc file type.
I am using OOorg 3.0 office. Is there any package problem? or something else.
Operating system is Xubuntu 9.04

And we don't want to use .DOT formate for the same.

Thanks

Microsoft uses proprietary formatting. Open Office uses World Standards. .doc just cannot or will not read the formatting from odt.

I have found Exporting a file to PDF works fine and most everyone can read it.
